Frankie`s Extra Long in Pittsburgh

I've been going to Frankie's off and on for about 30 years now since a friend of mine turned me onto it I usually get a meatball hoagie which is really good including the bun. However they could use some friendlier workers.

Foot long hot dog very good with fresh bun, can't go wrong

The food is amazing! The onions are the best onions I've ever had. Everytime my family is even in the Lawrenceville or Bloomfield area, we have to stop at Frankie's for lunch!

This place hasn't changed since I first started coming here as a teenager the foot longs are delicious with mustard chili and onions. The hot sausage and meatball sandwiches are awesome if you drive or walk by in the morning you can smell the onions cooking. One of the best hot dog shops in the city.

Used to be good... but last couple times bread too soggy and meatballs full of water no reason for us to return.

Doesn't serve ALL BEEF hotdogs. Disappointing.

Frankie's is a cult classic, "greasy spoon," kind of joint! If you want to experience what Pittsburgh was like when it was "The Iron City" and where blue collar workers would go for a quick bite and to throw a cold one back this place is for you! The food is great but you will walk out smelling like a hot dog stand. A must try in my opinion! "Keep Pittsburgh Weird!"

Frankie's is an icon in Lawrenceville! Best hot sausage hoagies and foot long hot dogs, made fresh every day! But be prepared to wait in line around lunchtime... there's also a connected bar and seating

Horrible experience.This place used to be really good now really bad.The sauce on the sausage is just grease and you have too pay extra for it as Well as the peppers an onions.Plus they 've gotten smaller and the price is double.Not good,Im with gaison pringle just a hot dog not anything special.

I adore this place. It's a staple of Lawrenceville and for good reason too, the chili dogs are so good and the prices here are really reasonable (I spent a little under $15 between me and my brother both getting chili dogs and drinks).

John the washer man always took me there for lunch, Frankie's has THE BEST hotdogs and sausages in the burgh.

I have been going to this place for over 25 years!! It tastes the exact same as I remember when I was a kid. Their service is great, food is amazing, and the atmosphere is that of a classic Pittsburgh pub. Prices are good too!

i have been getting chilli cheese foot long hotdogs, a bag of chips & a pop from Frankies since my dad introduced me to them, almost 50yrs ago.

They have friendly workers & customers and the best hot sausage around.
